Director: Briana Henn
Born and raised in Deer Park, NY, Briana has been involved with dance since she was a toddler. She has passionately pursued enhancing her expertise in dance for over 20 years by learning, competing and teaching. During her competitive years, Briana earned numerous awards and accolades, including the High Point Award at KAR 2016, which is the highest honor given in her age division. Currently, Briana is completing her bachelor’s degree from Saint. Joseph's College in Therapeutic Recreation.
Briana has always loved to see the joy on her students’ faces as they enhance their technique or learn for the first time how to express themselves through dance. Briana taught at the Saint Aidan Dance Academy from 2013-2015. During her tenure at the Academy, she taught students ranging from kindergarten to middle school. She trained her students in the different styles of dance including, but not limited to jazz, hip hop, tap and lyrical.
Along with teaching at the Saint Aidan Dance Academy, she also taught at Royal Dance Center in Babylon (2015-Present). Here, Briana is charged with teaching the two and three year old class. She finds this experience extremely fulfilling as she gets to see her students emote and socialize during their first experiences with dance.
When Briana isn’t dancing, she is a coach for Special Olympics Long Island and is involved with Relay for Life at Saint Joseph's College.
