Future Stars Lacrosse Camp will offer boys and girls ages 6-14 an intensive week-long opportunity to become better lacrosse players under the direction of some of the area’s finest coaches. We are certain that campers will enjoy an unforgettable growth experience regardless of age or skill level. On and off the field campers share their passion for this dynamic game with others. Every facet of the game will be covered. Overall performance, self confidence, and fundamental skills will improve dramatically. As a result of individual growth campers will become more valuable team players.

Director of Girl's Lacrosse: Michelle Ceraso
Michelle played five years of varsity lacrosse at Kellenberg Memorial High School and graduated in 2007. She attended Adelphi University where she won 3 National Championships and was a two time first team All American. She was named “arguably the best attacker in the nation” according to Lax Magazine.
Michelle has coached the Yellow Jackets travel team for 10 years. She previously coached the North Babylon girls varsity lacrosse program where she took them from 3-13 to making the playoffs for the first time in school history in 2015. In 2016 she took the team to playoffs again. Michelle is now the head coach for Comsewogue Varsity Girl’s Lacrosse and teaches life skills class at Bay Shore Middle School.
Director of Boy's Lacrosse: Anthony Cascio
Coach Anthony is passionate about all things lacrosse. He brings with him 23 years of coaching experience. Anthony earned a bachelor's degree in history from Dowling College (1995). Subsequently, he earned a master's degree from Dowling College in Special Education (1998).
While working towards his master’s at Dowling, Anthony coached two years with the Dowling College Lions as the defensive coordinator. During this time, Dowling became a nationally ranked top ten team. Coach Anthony moved on to become a teacher at Half Hollow Hills West in 1998 and since then has coached lacrosse both at the middle and high school levels.
Coach Anthony believes that meaningfully contributing to the growth and development of the young men and women under his care is the most important part of his job. He has been fortunate to see firsthand how sports and working towards a common goal can develop traits like leadership, courage, trust, respect and accountability.
Coach Anthony was born and raised in Bay Shore, New York. He has enjoyed living on Long Island his entire life with his two children Tristan (14) and Aidan (12).
Camps and Programs
Future Stars Summer Camps at St. Joseph's College offers premier programs. Summer 2017 will offer a variety of program options for campers from Kindergarten to 16 years old.
Sports camp programs include: Tennis, Soccer, Baseball, Basketball, Lacrosse, Flag Football, Multi-Sports, Softball, and Volleyball. Specialty camp programs include: Magic, STEAM Education, Dance, and Cheerleading. Our Rising Stars program is a specialty program for younger campers ages 2.5 - 5. Monday-Thursday evening (5 pm-7pm) Track Camp for Grade 5-11.
About the Facility
St. Joseph's College on Long Island located in Patchogue at 155 West Roe Boulevard is spread over a 30-acre lakeside campus comfortably located on the South Shore of Easter Long Island.
The John A. Danzi Athletic Center contains a number of outstanding features for camp use including: 25-yard heated swimming pool, strength training room, aerobics/dance room, basketball courts, volleyball courts, elevated track (1/12 mile), state-of-the-art fitness room, men’s and women’s locker rooms and lavatories.
The new 25-acre outdoor field complex will be the focal point for many of our sport specific programs. The Danzi Stadium Includes a 400-meter all-weather track (six-lane turns, eight-lane straights), long jump pits, high jump and pole vault areas, synthetic turf field for soccer and lacrosse and a grandstand. Gregg Alfano Field features a synthetic turf infield, clay pitcher’s mound, natural grass outfield that reaches 403 feet in center field, bleachers and dugouts. The Softball Stadium Includes a clay infield, a natural grass outfield that reaches 210 feet to dead center and dugouts. The facility also includes six new Deco Turf tennis courts.
Future Stars Summer Camp programs have exclusive use of the athletic facilities on campus during the summer. Campers have the option for the camp lunch which is a full buffet in the campus dining hall and includes a variety of daily hot and cold healthy choices. For those children that choose to bring their own lunch, the lunches will be refrigerated and delivered to the campers at lunch time. All campers have the option for a daily recreational swim period under the supervision of our certified water safety instructors and lifeguards (please note that Little Stars campers have instructional swim).
John Mees has been chosen as the new Future Stars Site Director for St Joe’s. He has uniquely qualified himself after serving as director of our sports camp package in Southampton for 10 years. During his tenure in Southampton, John designed the curriculum and organized the staff for a site that hosted as many as 300 campers a day. Prior to joining Future Stars, John served as a tennis camp director.
John received his bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina, at Chapel Hill, and went on to earn master’s degrees from both the University of Connecticut and Stony Brook University. Currently, John serves as Spanish teacher at Mount Sinai High School, where he coaches both golf and basketball. John currently lives in Sayville with his wife.
Dates and Rates
Summer 2017 programs will run from June 19th to August 25th. Flexible weekly scheduling is available. Each camp week is Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm. Pricing is time sensitive as outlined below.
